Jaclynn D. Moergeli, LMHCA
Mental Health Counseling
I received a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling after a year-long internship with Valley Cities Counseling and Consultation. Following this I opened a private practice treating clients with drug and alcohol, domestic violence, anxiety/depression, and relationship difficulties. I also received domestic abuse training at D.A.W.N. (Domestic Abuse Women’s Network).
In travelling, meeting people, and experiencing cultures different than my own, I’ve been given a richer, more global view of humanity, than had I not. Due to this, along with my endless curiosity and propensity for listening, the counseling field is and has been a good fit.
In closing, my passion for counseling has only grown as I’ve experienced the many advantages that Neurofeedback and Biofeedback offer. For example, in as few as 3-5 sessions this technology is capable of repairing areas of the brain that a lifetime of medications could not. These permanent and lasting changes are giving people their life back. I love what I do and love even more that I have found a home at Brain Health Northwest.

As a current student pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in psychology at Central Washington University Des Moines, I have been searching for a balance between treatment that addresses both the emotional and physiological landscapes involved in mental health. As well as being a counselor-in-training, I am currently involved in research examining the complexities of addiction stigma, while also assisting with research addressing the social experiences of veterans. The field of psychology is my passion, and I am dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge which will allow me to help individuals of all walks of life achieve a state of being in which they can thrive and achieve. It is my goal to pursue a PhD following my undergraduate schooling and be of service to my community through research in the realm of substance use and addiction.
At Brain Health Northwest, I believe I have found a team that is truly passionate about what they do, and a treatment which I believe to be at the forefront of mental health therapy. I am excited to lend my office management capabilities to help enrich and ease the experience of clients, and I look forward to meeting all of you.
